In response to God’s leading, develop, lead, and facilitate spiritually impacting ministries for children and young families as defined from here on out as children in age 0 to grade 6 and their parents, and young couples, in alignment with the Mission and
Vision of Trinity Church.
Regular duties:
- Coordinate with Staff to build a discipleship team recruit and encourage teachers and apprentices and to help with
- …leadership development through mentoring
- …training and support of ministry leaders & teams
- …oversee Christian Education Curriculum
- Responsible for Christian Education for these age groups (e.g. Sunday School, Small Groups, Sunday Night Live, Children’s worship, Vacation Bible School, etc.) including curriculum
- Meet regularly with Children and Young Couple Ministry Teams
- Supervise Nursery worker(s)
- Available and present to oversee Sunday Morning Children’s ministry
- Communicate opportunities / activities to congregation
- Be a spiritual leader for the children and Young Couples of the Church
- Be actively pursuant of Biblical truth and devotion through person studies, small groups, etc. outside of the this ministry area
- Be engaged and keeping the children and young couples ministry engaged with outreach within the community surrounding Trinity Church
- Regular and timely communication with and to parents
Occasional duties:
- Oversee the Children, Young Couples, and Families area of the budget
- Ensure that vacancies are filled during absence of teachers and other workers
- Attend Staff meetings as directed
- Engage those transitioning out in “Exit Interviews”
