Our 4 station radio cluster is currently searching for an Engineering Assistant who exemplifies leadership, achievement and team spirit.

Position Type: Part-Time

Description
Perform technical activities in the radio studio facilities and transmission sites. Reports to and work with Chief Engineer to carry out daily facility maintenance, upgrade and administrative tasks.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); six months experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Special Job Requirements: Knowledge of RF and Transmitters a must. Familiarity with NexGen Digital Automation, Axia LiveWire, ProTools, ISDN, AoIP codecs, TELCO systems, Satellite downlinks and remote transmitter monitoring equipment is a plus. Candidate must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays on occasion. 

Minimum Physical Requirements:  While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger motion, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, talk and hear.  The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor overall technical operation of the station(s) to insure compliance with FCC, Federal, EPA,      OSHA and State and local regulation. 

• Assist with repair and maintenance of all equipment

• Assist with remote broadcast appearances 

• Check transmitter readings and audit all transmitter and EAS logs
