COUNSELOR ~ JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Clinical Manager/Supervisor - Counselor
Position Status: Full-Time
Position Qualifications: LPCC, LISW, Supervision designation preferred, Ohio licensed
Reports to: Clinical Director
Orientation, 45 & 90-Day Review: All new employees are on a 90-day probation period. Employees will be given a 45 day and 90 day evaluation. After 90-days, Cornerstone of Hope will meet with the employee to discuss the work environment, goals, and expectations and discuss if the working relationship should continue.
Job Description:
The main duties will be to provide individual counseling and facilitate support groups for children, teens, and adults, as well as supervising office staff and interns. An outline of job related duties is listed below; however the list is not meant to be inclusive.
Schedule intake meetings for assigned client(s) and/or support group registrants who intend to use Cornerstone of Hope services.Provide counseling to clients and families who have experienced a loss and implement treatment plans.Provide practical training and guidance to students and/or staff.Provide clinical supervision to staff and interns.Facilitate support groups with the availability to provide therapy in the evening.Provide referrals for individuals who need more specialized care.Provide therapeutic crisis intervention and emergency services as needed.Assist in developing curriculum as needed.Develop and/or present CEU trainings to local community members.Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings / clinical meetings.Plan / Participate in other programs related to Cornerstone of Hope (i.e. Remembrance Ceremonies,
Guest Speakers, etc.)
Promote our organization to local communities, businesses, funeral homes, churches, funeral homes,
Schools, senior centers, etc.
Performs miscellaneous and/or other job-related duties as needed.
