We have been serving kids for over 54 years on this beautiful 60-acre mountain top campus in a wonderfully supportive small-town community in southwest Virginia.

 

The Joy Ranch team is made up of dedicated, energetic, loving and mission-minded Christians who accept the challenge to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children from difficult circumstances.  The Community Manager assists the child and the family to maintain and strengthen their relationship, works with the child to plan for their future whether it be to return home, to another appropriate environment, independent living, college, etc.  Maintains case documentation and recommends community resources and services. Assists and confurs with the Residential Care team to understand the needs of the individual child and develop a plan to meet those needs.

 

Competencies:

1) a master's degree in social work, psychology or counseling; or

2) a bachelor's degree in social work or psychology with documented field work experience; who can be supervised by the Residential Care Director qualified by state licensure; or

3) a bachelor's degree and three years professional experience working with children.

4) must be at least 21 years of age.
