Charity Church is a spirit filled,nondenominational church in Indianapolis, Indiana. We are searching for a Pastor of Student Ministries to lead our growing student and family ministries.
Our congregation is comprised of people from all backgrounds and faith stories. We have an incredible Student Ministries facility that was built to serve as a tool to attract this generation! We desire to hire a spirited leader that has a passion for and is grounded in the cause of discipleship while not neglecting ministry/outreach advancement. The church currently runs approximately 650 on Sundays, and we are preparing to enter another season of outreach and growth. We are experienceing growth of new believers as never before. We are looking for a spirit filled leader - to lead our team, and work with our students and families.

Job Summary
The Pastor of Student Ministries of Charity Church has the responsibility to ultimately create a healthy environment for Christian discipleship and ministry advancement for our students. This is primarily centered around, but not exclusive to students. The core value to everything we do at Charity is LOVE!
Minimum Qualifications:
- Vibrant Relationship with Jesus
- Heart for youth and families
- 3 years experience in a student ministry of 75 students or greater.
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate spiritual truths both verbally and creatively to connect with youth.
- Demonstrate a strong ability to connect and create relationships with both students and parents.
- Demonstrate an ability to successfully recruit, thoroughly train, equip, and release energized volunteer servant leaders into ministry.
- Believes in and is Biblically aligned with the core beliefs and values of Charity Church as expressed in our Constitution and By-Laws.
- Adhere to the biblical code of conduct laid out in the Charity Church Leadership Covenant
Essential Functions:
- Align and communicate vision for Student Ministries
- Establish, communicate, train and maintain Student Ministries guidelines.
- Organize and conduct a combined mid-week Jr./Sr. High youth service that includes worship, preaching, practical application, small groups, fun, and relational opportunities.
- Preach & teach youth in weekly services, small groups and other youth functions.
- Oversee, identify, and recruit adult and student leaders.
- Oversee and resource Xenox Worship Leader and Team.
- Organize, staff and oversee Xenox Summer Camp.
- Plan, organize and make available parental resources and training quarterly.
- Oversee Jr. High Ministry offered weekly on Sundays.
- Oversee and teach Sr. High ministry offered on Sundays bi-monthly.
- Produce & Oversee consistent student events such as concerts, camp, retreats, Guy/Girl focused topic events and other special activities.
- Attend weekly meeting with Sr. Staff and contribute in weekly team staff discussions.
- Create, maintain and operate according to an approved Student Ministries annual budget.
- Be available to preach/teach in adult services as requested by Lead Pastor.
- Oversee Young Adults Ministry to foster relational community to live out your faith with - within the age group of 18-30. Train leaders to oversee and maintain this ministry.
- Oversee a yearly Summer Internship Program for High School students which focuses on ministry discipleship, spiritual gifts and service projects both at Charity and within the community
Continually pursuing:
- Purpose to become visible in our local schools and involved with the leadership of those schools to create opportunity for student exposure to Christ!
- Purpose to pursue Community Outreach opportunities.
- Establish accountability with local network of leaders.
- Continue being a student, furthering your personal education, be mentored and a mentor.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to speak confidently in a public forum to both students and adults.
- Physically able to engage in strenuous activities with our students. Ie: trampolines, sports, swimming, hiking, etc. Also handle strenuous work environments that may include heavy lifting and other exertive tasks. May require use of ladders, lifts, and stairs.
- Able to move freely in and out of different settings (homes, churches, businesses, Student ministry areas).
