Children's Pastor/Director

Job Description:

Grace Church is a growing Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Cleveland, Ohio (gracecma.org).  We’re seeking a Children’s Pastor/Director to join our team and lead Grace Kids (Birth - 5th grade).  This person will direct a team of individuals committed to helping kids grow in their relationship with Jesus by cultivating exciting, fun, caring and engaging environments where God’s Word changes their lives.

Responsibilities:

• Enthusiastically committed to drawing children to Jesus

• Overseeing all aspects of Grace Kids including; recruiting, training, scheduling, screening, and supporting staff and volunteers

• Oversee paid staff:  Grace Kids Assistant Director, Nursery Directors (2), Pre K Director, and Ministry Assistant

• Meet regularly with the Grace Kids Team to develop, encourage and assess needs in the ministry

• Ensure that communication to volunteers and parents is occurring regularly and effectively

• Have frequent up-front interaction with kids involved in the ministry (through teaching, leading, etc)

• Oversee the evaluation and selection of curriculum

• Oversee outreach events (Kids Camp, Fall Festival, etc)

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (ministry training is a plus)

• 5 years experience in Kids Ministry preferred

• High energy with gifted communication and organizational skills

• Servant heart and willingness to get the job done well and on-time

• Meet the character qualifications of I Timothy 3 and Titus 1
