PURPOSE
To provide leadership to Forest Home's Youth ministry program with a focus on creating a world class program and growing the ministry to fill the new youth camp center.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plans and directs Forest Home's Youth camps (winter & summer)
- Oversee year round staff and residential staff
- Oversee all elements of the Youth program including but not limited to: Gatherings, Competitions, Schedules, Counselor Interactions, etc
- Direct oversight and creation of Large Gatherings, including A/V/L production values
- Have a stage presence that inspires other youth leaders who attend programs
- Create Theme and Curriculm for each youth program
- Works closely with Marketing and Reservations teams to develop and implements strategies for strengthening attendance and church partnerships
- Develops and maintains communication/relationships with group leaders who attend programs
- Provides leadership (recruiting, hiring, training, supervision and evaluation) to Youth ministry staff
- Directs the preparation of the short term and long range plans and budgets
- Evaluates the results of the overall operations of the Youth program on a regular, systematic basis and reports these results to the Senior Director
- Accounts for the overall safety and security procedures for Youth program staff, campers and counselors, visitors and facilities
- Participate on the Forest Home Program Team
- Actively supports and participates in staff spiritual life activities
- Performs other tasks/duties as assigned
- Prayerfully creates curriculum for all winter and summer camp gatherings that engage, train, and mobilize a generation of youth to follow Jesus and be His ambassadors in this world.
- Stands strong on the truth and grace of Scripture and inspires youth pastors and staff to also stand with courage in a progressive culture
- Creates best-in-class youth camp vision that creates raving fans, high engagement and strong partnership with churches
- Hosts all youth gatherings with a strong stage presence that engages and inspires youth and leaders who attend
- Creates best-in-class gathering production on par with large events like Lui Giglio’s Passion Conference
- Hires and trains high-caliber summer residential staff members
- Create strong summer and discipleship program each summer to disciple residential staff
